India is considered diabetes capital of the world. In 2019, 77 million people in India are suffering from the Diabetes, and project is that it will increase to 112 million by 2045. Major reason for rapid increase in the number of cases of diabetes is unawareness about the disease, and ignorance of people to follow healthy lifestyle. Under the project of Diabetes Free Society, we are educating people from all strata of society, regarding importance of following healthy lifestyles, steps to take for prevention of diabetes, important measures for managing diabetes etc. We are conducting education programs in club

houses, apartments, gardens, villages, tribal areas etc. We are also educating school children for following healthy lifestyle. We had conducted 2 programs for school teachers for healthy lifestyle, so that they can pass the knowledge in school children. Under the same project, we are also providing training to doctors and health care workers. With the help of various social leaders and volunteers we are conducting diabetes detection camps in societies and villages to detect diabetes at early stage. On every Saturday, we are organizing diabetes detection camp at Akshar Diabetes Centre, which is open for all and free for all. Every person attending the camp is given free counselling regarding diabetes and hypertension.
